Founded in 1997 in south Alabama, O-Flex Metal Finishing Inc. provides anodizing services to multiple industries including automotive, agricultural, marine, and industrial. As a Type II Sulfuric Anodizer, O-Flex Metal Finishing offers clear and satin finishes, chemical bright dip and alkaline etch. A 13.0 pH high-performance seal option is also available that provides the appearance and endurance required by the automotive industry including Class A finishes to meet GMW-14665, Ford WSS-M4P-13-A, and Mercedes DBL-9201. To further support our customers, value-added services are available including cutting, CNC machining, angle, miter, relief, nip, deburr, stamping and assembly. A fully automated line, large tanks and custom racks allow us to provide customers with rapid response and consistent quality.

Our newest product offering is Technical Anodizing for pre-paint surface treatment. In successful production for over 2 years, this process replaces E-Coat and other less desirable pre-treatments by providing a superior bond between the paint and the Aluminum Substrate improving adhesion properties, and it doesn’t build heavy on the parts like a primer paint prior to
the topcoat.
Currently in development is a two-step, electrolytic black finish with topcoat to meet ultraviolet and 13.5 pH requirements. Electrolytic two-step provides a smoother Class A finish to paint with little to no film build like paint, you don’t have to worry about adhesion issues like you do with paint, with 2-Step color you can achieve several colors ranging from a champagne to bronze and brown all the way to Black. This product is expected to be available late 2023. Please keep an eye on our website for updates.
Located in middle-Tennessee since 1997, O-Flex Automotive is a leader in energy absorbing (O-EA) products that consistently meet automotive industry standard FMVSS 201U ideal square wave force deflection properties and the ability to customize the energy profile of a given cross-section without the need for new tooling. O-EA also can meet 201U requirements where the packaging space is too small for foam and plastics to achieve the required performance level. We also offer CAE material cards for Simulation Testing as well as on-site FMVSS 201U Test Bench for development work.
O-Flex Automotive also offers thermal management solutions for multiple applications. For high temperature applications typically related to exhaust such as those found in auxiliary heaters for sleeper cabs, RV and marine industries; we offer stainless-steel, corrugated tubes that are flexible and sealed. For applications where thermal insulation, heat reflection and abrasion resistance are required, we offer heat-protection tubes and sleeves.
